Ferrari “Epoca D’Oro” Concept Car 🏎️

The Epoca D’Oro concept began as a personal design project... something I created just for fun to explore what a modern Ferrari could look like if it returned to its roots. I’ve been watching recent Ferrari designs and felt they’ve drifted away from the raw, driver-focused spirit that made the brand iconic to me. This concept imagines a modern Ferrari prototype that prioritizes feel, restraint, and engagement over excess, inspired by icons like the F50 GT and Ferrari’s pure competition prototypes.

Built outside constraints, it asks a simple question: how rewarding could a modern Ferrari be if it existed solely for the joy of driving?
I miss the gated V12 era, where the mechanical click of the shifter was part of the experience and the car demanded something from the driver. Those Ferraris carried Enzo’s spirit through racing pedigree, engines that felt alive and designs shaped by function and emotion. They were built with the person driving behind the wheel in mind.
I’m drawn to Ferrari prototypes because they are made for real competition drivers rather than market expectations. Like the F50 GT, the Epoca D’Oro is raw, uncompromising, and engineering-led, exploring performance without filtering the experience through comfort, branding, or owner ego. It honors an era when Ferrari built cars to satisfy obsession first and everything else second.
I want Ferrari to focus on making driving more engaging and embrace its roots rather than playing it safe. Sometimes you don’t need overwhelming power. Sometimes you need an engine that is wonderfully designed, a sound that feels alive, and a car that is joyful to row through the gears. One that makes you feel connected and respected as a driver.
The fastest production car at the Nürburgring with a manual transmission is the 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 (992.2), at 6:56.294. My dream is to help design the fastest manual performance car in the world and to set that record myself. Ferrari has no modern entry in that space.

Prototypes are where Ferrari experimented most honestly. This project is a reminder that innovation often comes from curiosity, not permission. It’s about learning, craft, and respect for heritage, and sharing the process openly so others who care about design and engineering are inspired to build something simply because it fun.
